Captain forward of Minnesota-Duluth, Jack Connolly wins the Hobey Baker. Connolly lead Duluth to their first National Championship in 2011 and proved to the world of NCAA Hockey that he is the best college player in the world. Read more here.

After playing in the KHL for four years, forward Alexander Radulov has decided to rejoin the Predators for the rest of the season. Radulov left the Predators in 2008 to play for the KHL's Salavat Yulayev Ufa, even though he still had a year left on his entry contract. The former 15th overall pick of the 2004 draft scored 26 goals and 58 points in his last season in the NHL.  The Predators are hoping that Radulov will propel the franchise to win its first Stanley Cup. Currently the Predators are fourth in the Western Conference.

Many trades have already been completed, but luckily for the beloved Blue Jackets fans did not see their captain Rick Nash leave Columbus. On the other hand, teams like Buffalo waited until last minute to find out their assistant capatin, Paul Gaustad was dealt to Nashville, but in a seperate trade they acquired young gun, Cody Hodgson from Vancouver. The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired defenseman Kubina from the Lightning in exchange for a second and third round draft picks.  The 34 year-old is past his prime but is still a solid defenseman. Overall, this is a good trade for the Flyers.
